Is "Tom & Jerry" innappropriate for children?

For my birthday, I have a DVD called Tom "in the foreground and Jerry Collection: Vol 2.. While reading the back, saw an ad that says "Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection is designed for the collector adult and may not be suitable for children. "Every time I see this notice, usually means there is somthing too adultish nudity (ie, adult language speaking of characters, etc) for children, and there are some innappropriate NOT Tom and Jerry. Why put that warning if nothing is innappropriate?

has to do with violent content of a tom jerry ss kicked all the time my kids watch it and do not try to reinact the scenes, just laugh so hard sometimes cry
