Jethro, to dispel a myth, lives near me, just over the border in Devon. Traitor! Jennifer Saunders used to live up on Dartmoor near Chagford, but has left now. Tori Amos lives only just in Cornwall near the Devon border, so near that it has a Devon address. I know where, but it wouldn't be ethical to put it on here.
I think Rik Wakeman lived up on Dartmoor, could have been near the Newton Abbot Trago Mills.
Richard and Judy have a second home in Cornwall, and seem to spend a lot of time there. Frank Ifield used to live in Padstow, but is now back in Australia. Edward Woodward and Michele Dotrice used to live in Calstock, but moved. I accidently stepped back into her at a shop in Tavistock some years ago. Kate Winslet used to own a property, I think it was in Tintagel, but it got sold.
Dawn French originates from Plymouth, and Philip Schofield from Newquay, but I don't know what connections they have here now.
Harold Wilson had a bungalow in the Isles of Scilly. Don't know if it is still in the family. Saw him there once, walking through Hughtown, smoking his pipe. He is buried in the nearby Churchyard.
I think the property owned by the late Caron Keating, Gloria Hunniford's daughter, has been sold. I'm sure I heard Gloria has a property in Cornwall, too.
Lord Stockton, James Hewitt, and the late Alan Clarke MP all had properties just into the Devon side of the border.
I can't think of any more now, but I'm sure to remember some others when it is too late!
