This is the term used for the words that are typed into a search box in a browser looking for information online. Now we are ready to find what people are looking for when they are browsing for information online. When someone wants to know something they often will sit down in front of screen and type in a certain phrase (this is known as keyword phrase) into their favourite browser.

At this stage as 84% of searchers on the internet use Google as their search engine we will use them for the keyword harvest time as our example.

The phrase that is typed in can range from one to four words and will be often just a random phrase to start with. For us as market researchers we are looking to find out if there are a number of people on line looking for the same thing. For this the first thing we do to see if there are other people searching for same things is to use Google's keyword tool.

Just do a search using the phrase keyword tools and you will find it easy.

Once you have opened up the Google keyword tool put in a phrase from a topic you are interested in into the search box. Make sure you choose all countries in the filters. This will return you 100 keyword phrase results. By using your common sense choose around ten of these with under 40,000 global searches per month making sure they are relevant to each other.

Place them into a text file because you are going to find more. With these saved keywords head over to Google organic search and put these into the search box one at a time.

If you can find three authority websites showing up on the first page of Google then this is a great sign Make sure you have at least some AdWords pay per click ads showing up on the right hand side as this is a qualifying sign that yes there is money in the market because people are buying AdWords traffic.

Take all the websites URLs you find and put them into your text file. Go to Google and put each one, one at a time into the Google keyword search tool in the website's box. They will return for you the keywords that the website is using, and then you can copy them and add them to your text file. This will give you enough keywords to get your article writing content under way.
